Live-in private tutors for children 5 to 20

Is video game addiction a problem?

Our live-in private tutors have had success with helping children overcome internet gaming disorder often by playing sports with them – tennis, squash, hiking, activities that the pupils really loved doing – and they lost interest in video-gaming.

Is one of your children autistic?

Our full-time tutors can help bring out the unique qualities and abilities that autistic children have over non-autistic children. Living in the family full-time our tutors spend all day with the children and are able to achieve far more than hourly tutors can.

Does your child need help in passing exams?

Our tutors from England are helping children all round the world prepare for future exams. Life in prestigious British schools and universities requires a well-rounded approach that focuses on both academic and personal development.

Are your teens coping with stress?

Today's teenagers are facing a number of stresses. Very often poor academic performance is related to these problems. One of the many benefits of having a residential tutor in your house for 24 hours of the day is to help teenagers with their unique problems.

Most of our tutors are graduates of Oxford, Cambridge or similar universities in England or have places at those universities and are waiting to go up. They are experienced tutors who have travelled all over the world tutoring children exposing them to the different foods, music, and traditions that they will find in England.

One of our private home tutors is the ideal person to solve any difficulties you may have: he is not a member of the family, yet the pupil gets the motivation and attention that can only be achieved by live-in one-on-one tuition. Read more about our global experiences in our Tutor Talks articles.

To prepare students for life in England, speak English as much as possible with a British live-in teacher

A strong foundation in the core subjects such as English, Maths, Science and Social Studies will be essential for success in UK schools. Guidance is necessary on the application process for UK schools. Prepare your child with a British tutor sent from England to live with your family in your own country. His is very familiar with the curriculum and standards required by British universities. He will prepare you for the interviews and entrance exams.

Success preparing a child who is not British for future studies and life in prestigious UK schools and universities is a long-term process that requires patience, dedication and hard work.  We strongly feel that online learning and increased screen time is not the answer. Having a full-time live-in tutor at home can provide a more comfortable and familiar environment for the child, which can help to reduce stress and anxiety.  Zoom achieves none of this, and can lead to frustration for the entire family.

We have come up against almost every problem and in all cases our tutors have managed to motivate and inspire the pupil and enabled him to pass his GCSE, A level, IB exams and Oxford & Cambridge University Admissions. A role model improves the pupil's cultural understanding so that he does not have any further difficulty with studies or life abroad.

We will discuss with you at length exactly what you need from a tutor and find one that we feel meets your needs. He will be chosen and sent to live with you in your country. While the tutor is living with your family, you may discuss with us at any time any questions that may arise and the tutor will have continuous contact with us. We are committed to making your experience with an international live-in tutor a success.

Bring a little British culture into your home

with a live-in Tutor from England

Our tutors take full charge of their pupils

Apart from helping with school or university work, our tutors have helped improve their students' tennis, skiing, swimming, diving and many other activities, apart from being a cultural role model for their pupils. We have found that by teaching pupils games and activities we can considerably improve concentration on their studies by increasing their self-confidence.

Our tutors teach them to be people of the world, with impeccable manners, which will stand them in good stead throughout their life.

The boy was at an English-speaking school in Oslo. He tutored him out of school hours during the term and full-time during the holidays. Our tutor lived with the the admiral and his family for six months, going on holiday with the family when they went salmon fishing in Northern Norway and generally joining in the family’s activities – dinner parties, tennis parties, tea parties, dances and at the same time teaching and motivating the eleven year-old pupil. India - frustrated with Zoom and online learning

Ramdas hated Zoom. In India since the pandemic, much of home tutoring is done online and can be frustrating for the whole family. Tutors from England sent out Adrian who was an excellent tutor, but also a very motivating and inspirational teacher. The effect on Ramdas from person-to-person full-time tutoring was enormous – he became much more focused on his studies and enjoyed them far more than before, with the result that he easily passed his entrance exams and interview for Eton and is now doing very well there.
